Episode Notes

It was an uneven night for both NXT and AEW, though both shows had bright spots as they again went head-to-head. Host Adam Silverstein opens by discussing NXT [2:38], leading with Undisputed Era's take on the fallout from NXT TakeOver: 31, a gruesome injury to Ridge Holland and the return of Ember Moon to the brand's stacked women's division. Other topics include questionable booking decisions, strong video packages and the ceilings of Damian Priest and Dexter Lumis. "The Silver King" continues with AEW [27:00], which was headlined by a Dog Collar Match that saw Cody regain the TNT championship over Brodie Lee in one of the company's strangest creative decisions to date. AEW Dynamite celebrated 30 Years of Chris Jericho, which provided a fun end to a show that included a Brian Cage-Will Hobbs banger and a lot of throwaway moments.
